(About The Images)
1874 PF-58 details/cleaned/rim bruise. 1874 PF-58 details/cleaned/rim bruise.
Lot Title: 1874 PF-58 details/cleaned/rim bruise.
Description: Cloudy fields display too many hairlines too be called original, yet much proof reflectivity remains to contrast mildly with lightly frosted devices. The reverse displays even better mirrors. In spite of the surface impairment, which garners a net PF-58 grade, details are very sharp, and the rims fully squared off. A decent entry-level proof.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

High Estimate: $800.00

772The Collectors' Auction - 2014 on 10/17/2014$425.00
1874, 1877-S, 1878-S, as described.
Campania Estate. Although circulated, these are rather decent all-different Trade dollars at their respective grades as assigned. First is a delightful 1874 (XF-45) that displays considerable luster...
730The Midwest Summer Sale 2014 on 07/18/2014$975.00
1874 PCGS MS-62.
Sharp, given fully delineated stars and outstanding definition at Liberty's head. Significant traces of chartreuse toning lay up against the major design features, which modestly assists overall...
524The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$475.00
1874 MS-60/cleaned.
Though lightly cleaned and a touch cloudy, this is far from being an unattractive coin. Indeed, the lack of marks and rim dings is very appealing, and this well struck coin is bound to have no...
850The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$725.00
1874 PF-58.
Deeply reflective on both sides, though with very little cameo effect. Light circulation is evident mostly due to handling marks rather than actual wear.
560The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$370.00
1874 AU.
An uncertified 1874 Trade dollar that grades AU-55 and features very attractive subtle magenta and pastel blue toning and flame-orange accents.
561The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$1,050.00
1874 PF-60, cleaned.
Even prior to checking diagnostics (die rust after the "E" of the reverse motto), it is obvious that this is a proof striking, as the fields between the denticles are fully mirrored, and the rims are...
