Lot Title:
1913 NGC MS-65 RD.
Description:
One major advantage of buying coins, especially copper, in older slabs is that the color may be presumed to be stable. NGC graded this 1913 cent as MS-65 RD, and it is in a no-line holder, so the color has been the same for at least fifteen years. As expected of the grade, this is an attractive gem, with swirling satin luster and beaming copper-gold color. A bold strike is obvious and easy to discern because the surfaces are so pristine, yet a limited supply of carbon acknowledges the completely original quality. A very desirable coin!

The fiery red surfaces perceived on this gleaming issue amplifies the crisp strike. A fleck or two may be perceived on this issue, but its magnificent eye appeal more than compensates. |
