(About The Images)
1902 PCGS MS-66 CAC. 1902 PCGS MS-66 CAC.
Lot Title: 1902 PCGS MS-66 CAC.
Description: Nearly three shades darker than usual for the issue, dusty silver-beige patina occupies the entire surface, gravitating to subtle dusky album iridescence at the edges. Nonetheless, underlying mint luster revolves unimpeded about both sides and reveals clean fields and a particularly nice cheek. Only magnification reveals tiny ticks here and there on the portrait. Interestingly, obverse sharpness is stronger on the obverse than the reverse, but overall strike is very good. Some collectors will find themselves at odds with a fairly dark Morgan graded MS-66, especially with a CAC sticker, but overall presentation of this piece is quite acceptable.

863The Midwest Summer Sale 2014 on 07/18/2014$340.00
1902 NGC MS-65.
Bradford Pear Collection. Free from marks and every bit of gem quality. The entire surface features a prominent layer of pumpkin-grey patina, energized by surprisingly potent (for 1902) luster. ...
818The Collectors' Auction 2012 on 10/05/2012$330.00
1902 PCGS MS-65.
Mintage of just about 8 million pieces predicts 1902 as a common issue in the Morgan dollar series, but GEM examples are not as common as one might expect. White luster blazes nicely from this...
927The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$685.00
1902 PCGS MS-66.
1902 registers among the "common dates" for the Morgan dollar series in most grades, but the date jumps in scarcity at MS-60 and above. The extremely clean surfaces are hazy on both sides (jw).
848The Midwest Summer Sale 2010 on 07/23/2010$1,250.00
1902 PCGS MS-65.
Judging reflectivity of a coin in a slab is difficult, and though the obverse lacks cameo contrast, the fields are clearly extremely brilliant for this 1902 dollar and exhibit a prodigious level of...
862The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$300.00
1902 NGC MS-65.
Slightly tougher date to find in higher grades. This specimen is blast white in color, has an exorbitant amount of luster, and is well struck.
866The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$475.00
1902 NGC MS-65.
It is surprising this coin wasn't given a star designation by NGC because the color is so gorgeous. Bright blue and apple green circles the peripheries with the remainder of the surfaces reflecting a...
