Lot Title:
1787 Nova Eboric Copper, Reverse Figure Facing Right F and 1791 Washington Large Eagle Cent VF/bumpy rims.
Description:
A pair of copper pieces with popular appeal for early type collectors. The 1787 Nova Eborac, Carlotto 1-A, Breen-987, 111.1 grains, grades fine and possesses exceptionally attractive, problem-free surfaces. The date has fallen off the flan due to a modestly eccentric strike, but this coin has eye-appeal galore for an honestly circulated copper. The 1791 Washington cent with large-eagle, Baker-15, Breen-1206, 194.4 grains, has very-fine details and terrific color and surfaces, but suffers from somewhat ragged rims, as well as some excess of tiny circulation marks. It may very well have been a pocket-piece. Two coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
