Lot Title:

1723 Hibernia Farthing (silvered) VF and 1724 Hibernia Halfpenny F.
|
Description:
|
A Hibernia farthing and halfpence pair up in this nicer lot of Colonial pieces. The farthing is attributed as 1723 Nelson-7, Breen-172 (53.2 grains, 11 harp strings) and has sharp extremely-fine details, though each side was silvered in contemporary times. The halfpence is attributed as 1724 Breen-166 (105.7 grains, stop after date), and displays fine details with glossy surfaces and attractive color. Two coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
