Lot Title:
Six Standing Liberty quarters.
Description:
A consignor's cast-offs make up this grouping of Standing Liberty quarters, since he has since upgraded to full-head coins. If only everyone's "cast-offs" could be so nice! The dates and estimated grades are given as: 1917 type-1 (AU-58 full head), 1918 (ex-NGC MS-64), 1919 (MS-64), 1923 (MS-60/PVC residue), 1927 (MS-63), and 1929-D (MS-62). This last coin is kept from a fully "choice" grade by some wispy slidemarks. PVC residue on the 1923 is not to be confused with the original toning also seen. Proper conservation would undoubtedly help that quarter out considerably. Six coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
