Lot Title:
Twenty Morgan dollars.
Description:
One roll of Morgan dollars is comprised of key or better dates, but sadly, every single one has notable surface issues, and to throw salt in old wounds, PVC affects most if not all of these pieces. Not a single coin is visually attractive as it is now, and conservation would be recommended for all of them. Dates and details grades are listed as follows: 2x 1888-S (AU/cleaned), 2x 1888-S (XF/cleaned), 3x 1892-S (XF/cleaned), 1893-S (VG/scratched -- yes, THE KEY is included in the roll!), 1894-S (XF/polished), 3x 1894-S (XF/cleaned), 2x 1895-S (XF/cleaned), 1896-S (XF/cleaned), 1896-S (VF/cleaned), 1901-S (XF/harshly cleaned), 1903-S (XF/cleaned), 1903-S (VF/cleaned), and 1904-S (XF/polished). Twenty con lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
