(About The Images)
1927-S NGC MS-64. 1927-S NGC MS-64.
Lot Title: 1927-S NGC MS-64.
Description: Die polish parallels the top of some of the rays on the reverse, providing an interesting visual diversion from the gorgeous luster as this coin is tilted in the light. Similarly bold luster emanates from the obverse as well, emphasized by the blinding white surfaces. 1927-S is undoubtedly one of the more difficult issues at the MS-64 grade level.
Low Estimate: $800.00
High Estimate: $900.00

980The Collectors' Auction 2013 on 10/18/2013$1,450.00
1927-S PCGS MS-64.
Mel Smythe Collection. Spectacular satin-white brilliance dominates the clean, abrasion-free white appearance that puts the grade very close to the gem level. Even at "just" MS-64, 1927-S proves to...
764The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$4,200.00
1927-S NGC MS-65.
No sensible person would dispute the key status of 1927-S at the GEM grade level. In MS-65, the value is bettered by only 1925-S and 1928-S, and even the heavily promoted 1934-S is more common at...
741The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$900.00
1927-S NGC MS-64.
1927-S becomes the second or third key to the Peace dollar series at the grade level of MS-64, significantly exceeded in rarity only by 1934-S, which is of course the key in most popular BU grades. ...
660The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$290.00
1927-S PCGS Genuine.
In any decent uncirculated grade, 1927-S is a key to the Peace dollar series. The example offered here features MS-60 details, full, blazing luster and a dearth of handling marks, yet the eye appeal...
697The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$355.00
1927-S MS-63.
An absolutely sparkling white coin that surrenders nothing in the eye-appeal department. No hairlines or rim dings are present to detract from the lovely, choice appearance, and most collectors would...
1036The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$280.00
1927-S MS-63.
Even in MS-63, the 1927-S Peace dollar starts to become expensive, but the price at least triples in just the next higher grade, making this MS-63 example an excellent selection for a nicer BU set. ...
819The Midwest Winter Sale 2009 on 02/13/2009$1,200.00
1927-S PCGS MS-64.
This key Peace dollar is distinguished by animated mint luster and good original quality, but gem consideration is denied by several opaque spots that have the appearance of water stains. Vestigial...
774The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$975.00
1927-S PCGS MS-64.
A liberal supply of eggshell-grey patina tints the surfaces, but does not deprive the collector from viewing the flashy, satiny mint luster lurking just beneath. Even in high grades, 1927-S often...
886The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$1,200.00
1927-S REDFIELD MS-64+.
This is a super nice Peace Dollar that is bright white with a breath of toning on the obverse and reverse. There are few marks and no distractions.
