Lot Title:
Five Bust half-dollars.
Description:
None of these capped bust half-dollars has been attributed, meaning potential bidders have an opportunity to discover hidden treasure for themselves. These are all original and problem-free pieces, each with well struck details for their respective grades, and the vintage surface quality for each is stupendous. Dates include: 1830 (VF-20), 1832 (XF-40), 1833 (XF-45), 1834 (XF-45), and 1835 (AU-55). From the standpoint of mere "grade", this latter is definitely the standout coin, but the 1833 is notable for very attractive, dusky album toning. Once again, practically reference quality material for what makes a truly original coin, with this five coin lot from the Tabasco Sauce collection.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
