Lot Title:
1911 PCGS PF-64.
Description:
Without magnification, this proof 1911 Barber half-dollar looks almost pristine and benefits from very good cameo effect, yet faint slidemarks can be seen down across Liberty's portrait at specific lighting angles. The off-white appearance is nearly unaffected by tone, with a whisper of honey-gold patina visible here and there on the portrait, and a small stain next to the arrowheads.

A frosty brilliance shimmers from this specimen's lustrous surfaces. There is a delicate cloudiness to note, however, just to the right of Liberty's profile. A few minute ticks appear on Liberty's... |
