Lot Title:
1875 (BG-1125, R.5 L) dollar PCGS MS-62.
Description:
An amazingly prooflike example of this scarce second period fractional, despite extensive die deterioration on the reverse that resulted in a web of die cracks impressed upon that side. Engraving of the design elements was remarkably deep for a minuscule coin of the era, yet the feathers in the Indian's headdress look more like leaves than feathers.
