(About The Images)
1943-S NGC MS-65. 1943-S NGC MS-65.
Lot Title: 1943-S NGC MS-65.
Description: Surfaces display intriguingly pale aluminum-grey patina, with a bucketful of earth tones splashed across the right obverse rim. 1943-S is one of the strike-impaired issues from the San Francisco mint, and this example displays only part of Liberty's hand. Nonetheless, the luster is imposing and the eye-appeal excellent for this short-set candidate.

High Estimate: $280.00

1943-S DDO PCGS MS-65 (green label) CAC.

1943-S PCGS MS-64.
Better struck than average for the issue, though Liberty's forefinger is ill defined. Two-toned, with rosy-gold fields contrasting with bluish-grey accents on the primary devices.
531The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$380.00
1943-S PCGS MS-65.
By 1943, San Francisco had apparently begun to take measures to rectify the striking problems for half-dollars of the previous three years, as the 1943-S tends to come a little better impressed than...
