Lot Title:
1893 ANACS MS-61, 1911 MS-64, and 1912-S F.
Description:
Intriguing variety is a hallmark of this small group of Liberty nickels. 1893 is graded MS-61 in an ANACS holder, yet presents a somewhat higher appearance in spite of a miserable stubble of beard hair adhering to the field atop Liberty's hair bun. Darn those ANACS graders! 1911 displays fantastic lustrous, corn-gold toning, and 1912-S has a strong LIBERTY, but also a trio of hairline scratches at Liberty's chin. Three coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

1893 PCGS MS-64.
While many dates in the Liberty nickel series suffer from indifferent production, coins from the early 1890s tend to be very sharp, and this 1893, housed in a PCGS green-label holder, follows that... |
