Lot Title:
1886 ANACS MS-63.
Description:
In any grade, an 1886 dime is a common coin, and therefore, minimal incentive exists for attempting upgrades. However, this example, graded MS-63 by ANACS, appears undergraded by a full point, considering the limited number of contact marks on either side. A single small tick appears on Liberty's thigh and another bagmark is suspended in the left obverse field, but neither is distracting. Further, this is an exceptionally frosty and lustrous coin endowed with very attractive album toning on the right edge of the obverse and across two-thirds of the reverse.
