Rather extraordinary patina graces this coin in a combination of three distinct hues, including original mint red next to the devices, followed closely by a shock of electric-brown tone, which almost immediately cedes to olive-tan color throughout the fields. It is a striking toning pattern that makes the details really "pop out" for this middle-date cent. Luster is plentiful.
