Lot Title:
1915-D PCGS MS-64RB.
Description:
Fascinating matte-textured fields are suggestive of the appearance of an early proof Lincoln, and for that matter, the finest details in Lincoln's portrait are unusually sharp. This is a coin with nice luster and patina that really has virtually no brown in it, but which has mellowed overall into a copper-burgundy color scheme. Several small, shallow ticks can be seen in Lincoln's beard and lapels, and a couple of green corrosion spots are visible near "NT" on the reverse.
