(About The Images)
1916-D PCGS MS-64. 1916-D PCGS MS-64.
Lot Title: 1916-D PCGS MS-64.
Description: Astounding, vibrant luster is certainly above average for the issue, since 1916-D is a common coin in the Barber quarter series, but doesn't always achieve technical excellence. Peach-gold accents are strewn across much of the obverse, while the reverse is draped in a mélange of royal-gold and tobacco-green color splashed to the left and right, and this combination of fine, original tone truly adds gem eye-appeal to this beauty. Technical considerations overtake aesthetics to some extent, since Liberty's cheek is simply to abraded to permit an upgrade, yet most collectors would be delighted with this purchase.
