Lot Title:
1845 NGC AU-58.
Description:
A modest layer of powder-gold patina rests peacefully across each side, providing an exceptionally original appearance for this early Coronet half-eagle. Providing Liberty with something of a gypsy appearance is a singular medium brown spot just beneath her earlobe that mimics a pendulous earring. This, plus an errant handling mark at the center of the eagle's shield, provides the only distraction of note, as the vintage surfaces are otherwise free from detraction.

New World Estate. Lovely and original in appearance, with fragile greyish patina over mustard-gold surfaces. A common date, but from a popular early decade in the series. |

A nice, original coin with hints of original mint luster lurking around the devices. The color is pleasing, and there are no distractions. |
