(About The Images)
1936 PCGS PF-65. 1936 PCGS PF-65.
Lot Title: 1936 PCGS PF-65.
Description: 1936 saw resumption of proof coinage after a couple of decades of intermission, and is the undisputed key date to the modern proof series. Immensely attractive bright-silver surfaces are lightly tinged with citrus-tan accents, yet provide this dime with unimpeded brilliance under any viewing angle. Curiously, where proof strikings are concerned, the reverse seems to have been provided with every last detail, while the obverse displays the slightest hint of incomplete proof detail upon the uppermost of Liberty's hair curls and along the leading edge of the foremost wing. But this is the most trivial deficiency imaginable, and your cataloger is grasping as straws since loving preservation has brought down to us a coin of virtually immaculate appearance, and one that most certainly deserves a "gem" grade. There are simply no obnoxious hairlines or detractions of note, with the best grade determinant likely a slender patch of friction just right of the fasces device.

1936 PCGS PF-65.

1936 PCGS PF-64.
Fields and devices are almost equally reflective, so there is no cameo contrast at all to speak of on obverse or reverse. Sticky amber-yellow tone can be seen across the upper portion of Liberty's...

1936 NGC PF-66+.
The reverse is absolutely pristine and grades PF-68 all by itself, while the obverse gleams with silver-bright brilliance, but has a few micro carbon spots flecked here and there, with several...
