Lot Title:
Four certified half-dollars. Two 1893 Columbian, and 1943-S and 1945-S Walkers.
Description:
They are listed as follows: 1893 Columbian (NGC MS-64), 1893 Columbian (PCGS green-label MS-62), 1943-S half (ANACS MS-64), and 1945-S half (NGC MS-65). The NGC 1893 Columbian is endowed with deep bronze tones, and the PCGS 1893 looks much nicer than the grade assigned except for a blatant tone spot on the right side of the obverse. The 1943-S Walker is platinum-grey, and the 1945-S features tasteful album toning on each side.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
