Lot Title:

Complete set of Washington silver quarters in two Capital Plastics' holders.
|
Description:
|
Quite a number of outstanding sets and partial sets appear in today's sale, including several collections of Washington quarters, and this one is on par with the best. Housed in two Capital Plastic holders is the run of silver quarters dated 1932 - 1964-D, and every single one is a lustrous, brilliant and bright example, with the sole exception of a beautifully toned 1948-S. Keys are listed as follows: 1932-D (AU-58), 1932-S (MS-60/lightly cleaned), 1934-D (AU-58), 1935-D (AU-58), 1935-S (AU-58), 1936-D (MS-64), 1936-S (MS-63), 1937-D (MS-64), 1937-S (MS-63), 1939-S (MS-63), and 1940-D (MS-61). Cataloger's notes: these grade estimates were made without removing the coins from the holder and should be viewed as rough guesses only. A terrific collection that has been given very classy treatment and presentation by the holders.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
