Lot Title:
Four Buffalo nickels in ANACS MS-65 holders.
Description:
Gem late-date Buffalo nickels are encased in older ANACS holders that have been lovingly preserved. Included are: 1935-S, 1937-D, 1937-S, and 1938-D/D, all graded MS-65. ANACS certainly had a reliable niche at one time, with many collectors appreciative even to this day of the small, convenient sized holders. The 1935-S is a lustrous, honey-rose jewel, the 1937-D features dusky patina, the 1937-S is a typical gem, and the 1938-D/D displays marvelous ice-blue toning.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
