Lot Title:
1929-D NGC MS-66.
Description:
With a full head designation, 1929-D is a legitimate scarcity in the Standing Liberty quarter series, and therefore very expensive. Thus, a well struck premium gem such as the present coin represents an opportunity for the astute collector to take in a coin for just a fraction of the price of the designation. The shield displays every single rivet, though the lower two are soft and the inner shield detail a somewhat mushy. Liberty's head clearly displays some notable definition, though it falls short of the requirements for a full head. Nonetheless, the tremendous cottony luster that percolates along each side energizes the allure for this piece, and the reverse is particularly sharp and beaming with eye appeal.
