1927-D PCGS MS-65. 1927-D PCGS MS-65.
Lot Title: 1927-D PCGS MS-65.
Description: While it's San Francisco cousin has a well deserved reputation as a key, 1927-D is no slouch when it comes to more difficult issues in the Standing Liberty quarter series. It seems to be a little underrated by most price guides. This gem is loaded with luster and features a somewhat better than typical strike, though unfortunately, a number of tiny bag marks just happened to gravitate to Liberty's head and bar any chance of full head consideration. Mottled areas of cola-tan accent are splashed across the obverse, while the reverse is less toned and displays handsome silver fields with hints of rose tinted iridescence.
Low Estimate: $400.00

538The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$260.00
1927-D ANACS MS-62.
This shimmering Denver Mint issue has an exquisite golden nuance. There are a few contact ticks and toning specs, with none too obvious. Except for a couple rivets absent on Liberty's shield, it is...
514The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$525.00
1927-D PCGS MS-65.
This is a very nice coin that deserves its important grade. The surfaces are brilliant with substantial luster. The marks and abrasions are consistent with the assigned grade, which means there are...
1081The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$210.00
1927-D MS-64.
This is a specimen from the second lowest mintage issue of the 1920s, and therefore quite desirable. It presents a lightly cleaned aspect, but is still quite handsome.
1316The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$170.00
1927-D MS-60.
Just a soft hint of creamy rose blush blankets to obverse surfaces. There is a light line to Liberty's right worth mentioning, but otherwise this is a very nice Unc.
561The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$310.00
1927-D MS-64.
A flashy specimen of a Denver Branch Mint issue with a mintage below one million (976,000). It is a well-struck specimen for this date, having a prominent date and mint mark. There appears to be...
