(About The Images)
1901 PCGS PF-66CAM. 1901 PCGS PF-66CAM.
Lot Title: 1901 PCGS PF-66CAM.
Description: This is absolutely and without question a fantastic proof Liberty nickel, awash in an elaborate pattern of citrus-gold and jade-blue toning on the obverse, and competitive sky-blue and chartreuse-magenta accents splashed about the reverse. Serving as the foundation for all this artistic mastery is a technically solid coin, featuring a masterful strike that is just shy of being fully detailed. A hint of softness above Liberty's ear and incomplete definition of the left ear of corn are noted, although every single star is sharply delineated.
Low Estimate: $750.00
High Estimate: $925.00

387The Midwest Summer Sale 2014 on 07/18/2014$330.00
1901, 1902 Eric Newman, and 1910, all NGC MS-63.
Berry Tree Collection. The Newman 1902 nickel comes with its original envelope and Heritage sticker, and though the technical quality seems to be rather outstanding, the eye-appeal is a bit obscured...
388The Midwest Summer Sale 2014 on 07/18/2014$550.00
1901 PCGS PF-66.
Berry Tree Collection. While not quite fully struck as a proof representative, the definition should still prove suitable for PF-66. Thoroughly doused in nickel-gold patina, the color intensifies...
562The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/26/2013$925.00
1901, 1908, and 1909, all NGC PF-64.
French Connection Estate. Evidence of toning progresses from light grey, to medium gold, to deep grapefruit red for this trio, and this supports the contention that the coins were never conserved. ...
523The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$425.00
1901 NGC MS-65.
At normal viewing angles, this GEM (as graded by NGC) appears to be utterly devoid of contact marks, and amazing luster rolls through the fields. Closer inspection reveals that indeed, virtually the...
302The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$360.00
1901 PCGS MS-65.
Fields are filled with prodigious frosty luster and embellished with cinnamon-gold tone. Collectors of the series will likely be delighted with the sharpness since the left ear of corn displays much...
549The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$775.00
1901 PCGS PF-66CAM.
Scintillating brilliance and obvious cameo contrast attest to the capabilities of the turn-of-the-century mint. A drop-dead gorgeous coin, as is attested by the PF-66 CAM grade, and this dazzling...
