Lot Title:
Nearly complete set of Standing Liberty quarters (no 1916 or 1917-S Ty2) in a Dansco 7132 album.
Description:
Besides the scarce 1916 key date, 1917-S type-2 is absent from this Dansco album for Standing Liberty quarters, dated 1916 - 1930-S. These coins have an average grade range around "fine", though a few examples are overly white and likely mildly cleaned. Better coins include: 1917-D type-1 (F), 1917-S type-1 (VF), 1917-D type-2 (VF), 1918-D (VF), 1919-D (AU/cleaned/rim damaged), 1919-S (F/cleaned), 1921 (VG/cleaned), 1923-S (VG-10), 1924-D (AU/lightly cleaned), and 1927-S (VG). An extra trivial dateless coin appears on the last page.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
