Lot Title: Complete Indian cent set with three Flying Eagle cents in a Dansco 7101 album.
Description: The intriguing toned appearance of some of the coins in this Dansco album of Indian cents is unfortunately due to past issues with cleaning, but collectors who seek out strong details for their coins will be pleased with the sharpness of most of these cents. In fact, with few exceptions, most display bold AU details, including the keys. Coins with XF details or lower include 1857, 1858 LL, 1859, 1861, 1864-L, 1869/9, and 1871, and that's it! Everything else (there is no 1856 or 1858/7, and 1864 CN is substituted by a bronze coin) has AU or uncirculated details, including 1858 SL, 1866, 1867, 1868, 1869, 1870, 1871, 1872, 1873, 1874, 1875, 1876, 1877 (AU-50/cleaned), 1878, both 1886s, 1908-S (MS-60/retoned), and 1909-S (AU-50/cleaned/retoned). Unfortunately, it must be noted that every single AU better coin has been cleaned, some dramatically, and the vibrant rainbow colors seen throughout will not be considered "original" by most collectors. Nevertheless, the effort entailed in assembling such a comprehensive set with very strong details like this is formidable, and there is little doubt about the likelihood of this collection bringing a strong bid.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
