Lot Title:

Nineteen circulated Bust half-dollars from 1823 thru 1839 in a Dansco-like album.
|
Description:
|
A Dansco album for Part II of the early half-dollar series dated 1823 - 1839 includes sixteen unattributed lettered-edge coins and three reeded-edge coins. While most are at least fairly original, the average grade is probably "fine" or so, although a couple of coins with better details display signs of cleaning as well. Included are: 1823 ugly 3, 1823, 1824, 1825, 1826, 1827 square base 2, 1827 curl base 2, 1828 square base 2, large 8s, 1829, 1830 large 0, 1831, 1832, 1832 large letters, 1833, 1834 large date and letters, 1836 lettered edge, 1837, 1838 and 1839. A fun way to commence an early half-dollar date set!
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
