Lot Title:
Six certified Proof Washington quarters.
Description:
Six of the seven early Washington quarter proof issues are included in this grouping, with only the key 1936 being absent. Happily, the 1937 that is included is quite impressive, with gleaming, pristine surfaces and an appearance that is consistent with light cameo quality. The coins are listed as follows: 1937 (NGC PF-65), 1938 (PCGS PF-66), 1939 (NGC PF-66), 1940 (NGC PF-66), 1941 (PCGS PF-66), and 1942 (PCGS PF-67). The 1938 and 1940 are tinged with hazy toning, and the others gleam with excellent clarity. Six coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
