(About The Images)
1915 NGC MS-63. 1915 NGC MS-63.
Lot Title: 1915 NGC MS-63.
Description: 1915 is considered a slightly better date in the Saint-Gaudens series, and this example is a touch brighter than some competing coins. Strike is a problem with many double-eagles of this date, and some weakness is noticeable at Liberty's face and bosom, although the eagle is surprisingly sharp overall. A scrape along Liberty's right (observed) upper arm provides a subtly shiny distraction even without a glass.
Low Estimate: $1,625.00
High Estimate: $1,875.00
Lot Status: Bidding has been closed for this lot.
Hammered Price: $1,750.00

1915 NGC MS-62.
All the trappings of at least a choice coin are unceremoniously kicked to the curb by a moderate bagmark smack dab in the center of Liberty's torso. Ouch!

1915 PCGS MS-63.
A renown specimen of one of the more uncommonly located issues within this series. Dusky blended hues of orange and rose bedeck its lustrous textured surfaces that are minimally marked. The design...
