Lot Title:
1921-S NGC MS-65.
Description:
Correctly graded at the MS-65 level, a 1921-S Morgan dollar becomes a truly scarce coin in the series. This platinum-grey example exudes much better luster than typically seen of the issue, with a strike that rivals the best Philadelphia coins of the same date. While some tick marks on Liberty's cheek were not quite struck completely out at the time of production, post-mint impairments are practically non-existent, except for a gently curving mark sitting at precisely 9:00 in the left obverse field. The "S" mintmark is laughably undersized compared to the diameter of the coin.

1921-S PCGS MS-65.
Extremely white and bright with a strike that is pretty typical of 1921-S. Refreshingly unabraded for the issue with a mere handful of tiny specks in the field left of the Eagle. |
