Lot Title:
1802 Close Date (B-6, BB-241, R-1). PCGS VF-35.
Description:
Vestiges of luster sparkle dimly from around the reverse periphery, revealing a subtle but very definite rainbow effect that is highly appealing for the grade. Less luster remains on the obverse, though for a coin graded just VF-35, overall preservation is impressive. Liberty's portrait is sheathed beige-tan color, with some darker tone spots flecked across her lower bust area, while the fields are two shades darker, carrying their color over to most of the reverse.
