(About The Images)
1919 and 1925. PCGS MS-64. 1919 and 1925. PCGS MS-64.
Lot Title: 1919 and 1925. PCGS MS-64.
Description: Despite identical PCGS grades of MS-64, the strike quality varies decidedly between these buffalo nickels of different eras. The 1919 is incredibly sharp in spite of a die clash so strong that "LURI" is legible beneath the Indian's chin. On the other hand, the 1925 is very softly struck, suggesting how far strike quality had deteriorated in a matter of just six years, even at the Philadelphia mint. Remarkably, the latter coin also features a strong die clash, with "LURI" nearly legible on the obverse as well. Two coin lot.

1919 PCGS MS-65 CAC.
Apricot-pearl texture secures the outstanding eye-appeal, with a nice assist from lovely, swirling luster. The bison's tail shows a fully cleft end, which in turn suggests a strong strike.

1919 NGC MS-65+.
Washburn, Arkansas Collection. Impeccable quality does indeed deserve MS-66 consideration as implied by the NGC "plus", since both sides shimmer with lovely silver brilliance and show no distractions...

1919 and 1929-D PCGS MS-64.
A pair of buffalo nickels that display vastly different character between them. 1919 is well struck and bathed in stripes of russet-yellow tone, while the 1929-D is flatly struck and icy...
427The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$160.00
1919 NGC MS-64.
Copious crimson hues immediately greet the viewer of this lovely late-teens Buffalo nickel. Excellent definition presides over both the Indian and the bison, and a few microscopic ticks carefully...
