(About The Images)
1917 Type 2. PCGS AU-58FH. 1917 Type 2. PCGS AU-58FH.
Lot Title: 1917 Type 2. PCGS AU-58FH.
Description: Even upon close examination, a mint-state grade seems plausible for this lustrous piece, but persistent scrutiny may lead some observers to conclude that there is feathery rub on Liberty's head and kneecap, and perhaps on the edge of the eagle's leading wing. That tenuous evidence is all that separates this coin from a fully mint state grade assessment. Nicely accented with champagne-tan patina.

607The Midwest Summer Sale 2014 on 07/18/2014$675.00
1917 Type 2. NGC MS-65.
Remarkable quality challenges even the expectations of a type-1 quarter, as this type-2 example shows exceedingly sharp details and much of the wonderful, satiny-matte texture that usually is seen...
667The Collectors' Auction 2013 on 10/18/2013$525.00
1917 Type 2, and a 1930, both PCGS MS-64.
Like grade but wholly different brilliance marks the contrast between these two. The 1917 type-2 shows steam-grey patina over velvet-textured surfaces, while 1930 gleams with pure white brilliance...
862The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$2,100.00
1917 Type 2. NGC MS-67.
This is a memorable coin on multiple levels. First of all, the impossible level of screaming brilliance floods the eyes with blinding whiteness, setting a whole new definition of what constitutes...
651The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$320.00
1917 Type 2. PCGS MS-63FH.
It is remarkable that a coin with such a shallow strike could earn an "FH" designation, but we all know that strike designations often tell nothing about actual strike quality! It is true that...
341The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$725.00
1917 Type 2. and 1923 MS-64 FH..
A pair of truly terrific Standing Liberty quarters are to be found in this lot, and both are tastefully toned, fully original pieces. 1917 type-2 is an incredibly frosty coin that has knockout full...
502The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$900.00
1917 Type 2. NGC MS-65 FH.
This coin is an absolute rampaging beast. It has Full Head detail, dripping luster, bright white appeal, and zero distractions. It might someday sneak its way into an MS-66 holder.
