(About The Images)
1832 JR-2. ANACS AU-50. 1832 JR-2. ANACS AU-50.
Lot Title: 1832 JR-2. ANACS AU-50.
Description: Housed in an older ANACS slab is this 1832 JR-2 dime, graded AU-50 by ANACS and displaying some highly attractive album iridescence. Upon first inspection, this appears to be a finer coin than what is implied by the grade, but closer examination reveals signs of an old cleaning that has recovered most originality due to fortuitous storage in a proper environment. A surprising level of mint luster remains at the edges, and a handful of minor handling marks can be seen on Liberty's portrait. From the James Bolen Collection.
Low Estimate: $300.00
High Estimate: $400.00

423The Midwest Summer Sale 2010 on 07/23/2010$525.00
1832 (JR-2, R.2) MS-60/questionable color.
The reverse is rather nice, filled with mint frost and slightly muted silvery luster, but something has happened to the obverse that most collectors will find unappealing. Rusty tan coloration seems...
424The Midwest Summer Sale 2010 on 07/23/2010$3,000.00
1832 (JR-4) PCGS MS-64, strike doubled reverse.
Significant doubling of design elements on the reverse is most noticeable along the left side, particularly at "10 C" and UNITED ST, but it is presumed to be strike doubling, since a doubled die is...
403The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$1,750.00
1832 NGC MS-63.
JR-2 is not a rare die marriage for 1832, but the example offered here is very attractive. Meticulously defined details include strongly impressed stars and strands of hair on Liberty's portrait, with...
390The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$875.00
1832 NGC MS-62.
This coin is quite unique. It is a deep rose color with peripheral tones of turquoise, violet, and russet. I dare you to fine another Bust Dime that looks as attractive as this one. Under the...
