(About The Images)
1873 and 1874 AU/lightly cleaned. 1873 and 1874 AU/lightly cleaned.
Lot Title: 1873 and 1874 AU/lightly cleaned.
Description: A duet of Trade dollars are included in this lot. The 1873 has original character and was probably a little reflective at the time of striking, but it also has the underlying appearance of having been dipped long ago. A grade of AU-50/dipped is appropriate. The 1874 has AU-58 details, and though originally struck with prooflike fields, an attempt to enhance it's reflectivity with further polishing was misguided at best. Still, the coin has a very flashy and arresting appearance. Two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

High Estimate: $400.00
