1868 scratched and 1870 cleaned/scratched/rim damage, ANACS AU-55 Details.
Description:
A pair of silver three-cent coins, dated 1868 and 1870, are housed in prior generation ANACS "AU-55 details" holders. The 1868 bears a scribble of scratches at the top of the star and the bottom of the denomination, while the 1870 displays a couple of staple scratches on the obverse and glossy evidence of an old cleaning. "Rim damage" referenced by the ANACS insert is thoroughly obscured by the slab. Two coin lot.
