Hardly a speck of rub from circulation distinguishes this coin from a mint state example, though a hint of color shift near the back of the Indian's cheek likely accounts for the NGC assessment as a "slider". Pleasing accents of original mint red color are well established around the devices, and appear throughout both sides with something of a woodgrain effect. A small dark spot of minor concern appears on the right side of the wreath, but observant bidders may also note to crumb-like specks of verdigris above the right corner of the shield. A difficult coin at this grade level.
