Lot Title:
1908 PCGS MS-65.
Description:
Delicate, gossamer veneer bathes this marvelous gem with pale jade-blue iridescence that illuminates Barber's design with the loveliest imaginable effect. Although not fully struck, detailing is more than adequate on both sides, lending full definition to each obverse star and much of the reverse. A luster graze in front of Liberty's portrait most likely settled the PCGS MS-65 grade.

Very soft natural russet tone reflects from the lustrous surfaces of this conservatively graded nickel. It is much nicer than the majority of MS-64 graded examples, and the appeal is right up there... |
