(About The Images)
Eight Half Cents. Eight Half Cents.
Lot Title: Eight Half Cents.
Description: Half cents spanning fifty years between 1804 and 1854 are in this lot. They are tallied as follows: 1804 C-10 (F-12, environmental damage, EAC 6), 1806 C-2 or 3 (VG-8, planed reverse, EAC 0), 1807 C-1 (G-7, scratched, EAC 3), 1825 C-2 (G-4, damaged reverse, EAC 3), 1828 C-2 "12 stars obverse" (VG-8, EAC 7), 1832 C-1 (F-15, EAC 10), 1851 C-1 (VF-20, lightly cleaned, EAC 15), and 1854 C-1 (VF-30, wiped, EAC 20). The 1806 may have been a coin that was being prepared for use as a love token, as the reverse is apparently planed down, and not worn down to nothing. Eight coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

High Estimate: $450.00
