Lot Title:
Three Seated Liberty Half Dollars.
Description:
This lot consists of a trio of three major varieties. The first is a 1853 Arrows & Rays in XF-45. Its pleasing gray aspect has a charming russet enhancement. The 1860 "No Motto Above Eagle" variety is assigned an AU-50, Cleaned designation. The final piece is an 1876 "Motto Above Eagle" variety for the centennial year. Assigned a grade level of AU-50, it is sharply struck and white, with just a tinge of russet on its outer rims. Unfortunately, it has been cleaned and displays a myriad of hairlines in the fields..
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
