Lot Title:
1844-D PCGS VF-30.
Description:
Dirty gold is in vogue with some astute collectors, and it certainly is refreshing to find branch mint coins that have not been cleaned or abused. The 1844-D offered here presents exceedingly original surfaces, and ample eye appeal is generated by the bold motifs, amplified as they are in darker recessed color. Typically struck on the highpoints, with very few of the finer details present on either side due to the usual production problems.
