Lot Title:

Lot of seven Hawaiian coins (one PCGS certified)
|
Description:
|
Hawaiian issues seldom appear in lots, so this is an unusual opportunity to acquire several with one successful bid. Leading off is a Hawaiian quarter in a PCGS MS-63 holder - the only certified coin in this lot. It is a semi-prooflike coin with aluminum-white luster. Two additional quarters follow, one in VF-30, scratched and cleaned, and the other in XF-45. A dime is next, and it grades F-12 with a somewhat dark patina. Next is a half-dollar that grades only VG-8 and is original, though a bit unevenly toned. The lot is rounded out by a pair of dollars, one being a darkish coin that is VF-20, scratched, and the other an untroubled VF-35. Seven coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
