Lot Title:
1952, 1953 and 1954 Proof Sets
Description:
Three proof sets, dated 1952, 1953 and 1954, are included in this lot, each enclosed in a Capital Plastic holder, itself carefully preserved in a burgundy felt case. Grades average PF-65, with certainly no coin individually grading below PF-64. Coins with prominent cameo potential include the 1952 dime, 1953 quarter and the 1954 nickel and dime. All three cents should qualify as "RED" coins, though the 1953 has an absolutely gorgeous crescent of wine color in its obverse field. A stunning and beautiful collection of fifteen coins.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
