Lot Title:
1898-S NGC MS-62.
Description:
Technical quality seems to be knocking on the door of MS-63, where the value escalates very quickly for 1898-S. Furthermore, the presence of some faint particles of verdigris and obviously original patina exemplify this as a superior original coin that should definitely get some consideration for resubmission. NGC may have resorted to a more conservative grade due to faint hairlines, but even under a loupe they have only a trivial impact (at most) upon overall quality. (PCGS# 008741)

1898-S PCGS MS-62.
The obverse is a little "noisy" for MS-62, while the reverse is somewhat nicer, save a moderate wormlike abrasion dangling from the eagle's beak. A trifle pale overall, but beaming with spunky luster... |
