Lot Title:
1882-CC ANACS VG details/graffiti.
Description:
Mike Wrinkle Collection. Mintage: 82,817. The alleged "graffiti" amounts to a pair of curving scratches, one in the obverse right field of each side. Being the only infractions, the coin otherwise retains a superior, vintage appearance with deep obsidian accents merging with some of the bolder detail outlines on each side. The scratches truly are barely visible without a loupe and nearly forgivable at just the VG grade level. (PCGS# 008359)

1882-CC Coronet half-eagle, NGC AU-58
Scarcely even a breath of friction separates the obverse fields of this coin from mint-state, and even under a loupe, the reverse displays the merest touch of rub on the eagle's neck and the feathers... |

1101 | The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006 | $1,050.00 |
1882-CC ANACS AU-53.
A solid AU coin with beautiful antique toning. Carson City issues have always been popular, especially gold issues. This example has no distractions and only minimal wear. |
