Lot Title:
1852-C XF details/cleaned.
Description:
Popular for type reasons, 1852-C survives in quantity from a mintage of 72,574 pieces, with XF being an economical grade for the date. Evidence of minor cleaning can be seen over slightly hazy surfaces, but hints of underlying luster remain, and the eye-appeal is not bad at all. An excellent choice for the album-oriented collector.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

Reflectivity flashes prominently from the date area and occasionally from around a few stars, but generally the obverse is somewhat dull, and the eagle's portrait displays a profusion of hairlines... |
