(About The Images)
1915 NGC MS-65. 1915 NGC MS-65.
Lot Title: 1915 NGC MS-65.
Description: Obverse surfaces are exquisitely free from detractions, while only the eagle's shoulder on the reverse displays contact marks of note, and these are all minor. The satin sheen that layers each side provides a suitably consistent backdrop for well struck devices. Of note is a single carbon spot at the upper-right obverse, but there are absolutely no copper stains to detract.
Low Estimate: $7,750.00
High Estimate: $9,000.00

865The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$1,450.00
1915 NGC MS-63.
While not lacking in pizzazz by any means, a few carbon flecks and occasional splashes of die grease hinder the luster ever so slightly. On the other hand, their continued presence lends credence to...
821The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$1,410.00
1915 PCGS MS-63.
Basically inconsequential bagmarks cluster at the forward area of the Indian's cheek, while the fields remain fairly unabraded. Housed in a PCGS green-label holder.
822The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$7,750.00
1915 NGC MS-65.
Satin-matte surface quality is unusually consistent for the obverse, which almost appears to grade a full point higher than NGC's MS-65 grade. Even the reverse is affected by only very trivial marks....
1030The Midwest Winter Sale 2009 on 02/13/2009$850.00
1915 PCGS MS-62.
A smallish linear bagmark accompanies a more moderate one on Liberty's cheek, rendering the grade. Booming mint luster, particularly on the reverse, is particularly attractive.
1076The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$525.00
1915 NGC AU-58.
Rub on Liberty's lower jaw and on the eagle's shoulder qualify this coin as a "slider". It otherwise glistens with the lemon-gold luster of a typical low-end "BU" coin.
1077The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$500.00
1915 NGC AU-58.
This coin literally shows no more "wear" than competitors in MS-62 holders, but admittedly, there are many light handling and bagmarks. Most times, this is a "BU" coin.
1078The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$500.00
1915 MS-60.
An uncertified 1915 gold Indian eagle that grades MS-60. Lustrous with no significant marks, and just a couple of carbon flecks.
986The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$575.00
1915 Indian eagle, NGC MS-61
Contrary to the usual case, the obverse is the strong side of this coin. Indeed, your cataloger thought at first that the grade must be a glaring mistake, but continued examination of the reverse...
1133The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$875.00
1915 PCGS MS-62.
Golden honey coloration blankets the obverse, while the reverse defers to a slightly darker shade of royal gold. Reasonably well struck except for a bit of softness at the Eagle's shoulder.
540The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$425.00
1915 AU.
Minimal marks for an AU, and the surfaces and still bright and lustrous. Very light rub on the topmost breast feathers and hair, but lots of detail can still be seen.
1174The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$850.00
1915 MS-62.
When you view this uncertified Indian, and question why we only graded it MS-62, please understand that we tend to be conservative with raw coins to ensure our bidders are happy. It is likely this...
1175The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$0.00
1915 PCGS MS-64.
This Philadelphia issued Eagle displays a glowing radiance that is emitted from its rich, delicate, yellow-gold surfaces. Some sparsely scattered marks are noted on this sharply defined specimen.
