(About The Images)
1875-CC PCGS XF-40. 1875-CC PCGS XF-40.
Lot Title: 1875-CC PCGS XF-40.
Description: Extraordinarily original, with every single piece and particle of Old West dirt and grime in place and on hand for your review! There is simply "something" intangible about handling a vintage piece of gold from Carson City that makes it a special experience, and whatever that "something" is this coin has it. Mustard-gold surfaces are thickly layered with dirty-grey patina, with high points still retaining grey-gold texture imparted by circulation.
Low Estimate: $1,250.00
High Estimate: $1,400.00

1875-CC PCGS AU-58.
The AU-58 grade is intended to apply to coins that have the look of a mint-state coin, with just scant friction defining brief presence in circulation, and that description fits perfectly here. At a...

1101The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$2,100.00
1875-CC NGC AU-55.

1144The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$1,600.00
1875-CC NGC AU-55.
From a romanticized western mint and having a magnificent visual aspect that is amplified by a splendid orange glow. The perceived contact marks are rather minimal for the typical heavy gold coins...
442The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$4,300.00
1875-CC PCGS MS-61.
Flashy cartwheel luster augments the bold details of this popular Carson City $20 Gold Piece. The marks are consistent with the grade, but the brightness is more in-line with what you would see on...
