Lot Title:
1882-CC Coronet half-eagle, NGC AU-58
Description:
Scarcely even a breath of friction separates the obverse fields of this coin from mint-state, and even under a loupe, the reverse displays the merest touch of rub on the eagle's neck and the feathers of the arrow. Bright luster gleams happily from the margins around the obverse. Considering this coin's inevitable contact with others in the channels of commerce, it remains conspicuously free of meaningful post-mint abrasions. Just a terrific coin for the grade!

A solid AU coin with beautiful antique toning. Carson City issues have always been popular, especially gold issues. This example has no distractions and only minimal wear. |
